Things You'll Need
Instructions
Find doll clothes in sizes fit the bunny. Dolls come in standard sizes, and clothes are sized to match. If your stuffed bunny is 12 inches, look for baby doll clothing marked to fit 12-inch baby dolls. These fit stuffed bunnies well because the outfits are cut wider to make it easier for a young child's fingers to manipulate.
Use infant clothing to dress a larger stuffed bunny. Look for loose, short-sleeved knit shirts and shorts with elastic waistbands that stretch. In dresses, choose simple designs such as baby jumpers that fit loosely enough to fit a stuffed animal.
Use a pair of doll shoes or infant shoes for your bunny. Stretch them over bunny toes to make them fit. Shoes that fasten with Velcro are more likely to fit a stuffed bunny because they're adjustable. Use tiny boots that are also likely to fit over the angled paw of a stuffed bunny. Over Bunny's feet, pull on baby socks with lace trim. They're just the right size for stuffed animal feet.
Stretch a piece of elastic lace around the top of the bunny's head below her ears to make headgear for Bunny. Glue a tiny bow to the lace. Buy a small straw hat in a craft store to fit between her ears.
Make original outfits such as an Easter dress by creating your own. Make a simple jumper using a rectangular-shaped piece of cotton fabric in a floral print. Cut the bottom of the dress wider than the top. Sew up the back seam, keeping the dress loose and wide enough to fit over her head. Make shoulder straps with pieces of eyelet ruffle, and sew them to the front and back of the jumper.
Give your bunny other accessories as they become available. Use an old watch with a stretch band to fit around her furry wrist. Recycle jewelry from childhood that your daughter has outgrown.
