Things You'll Need
Instructions
Purchase a receiver and controller that have two operating frequency crystals with frequencies that match each other. You can match the frequency by the numbers on the tab attached to the crystals.
Remove the screws from the back of the remote control with the screwdriver. Install one operating crystal into the cover of the remote control by lining the pins up with the pin holder openings. Reattach the remote cover by tightening the screws.
Install the second crystal into the receiver. Push the crystal into the pin holder openings on the receiver housing.
Connect the receiver to the servo lines on your helicopter. Push the servo connectors into the receiver ports on the right side. Each port is marked with a number that corresponds to the remote control's switches, dials or joysticks, depending on which type of remote control you purchase.
Connect the battery to the receiver by pushing the connector into the receiver's battery port at the top. Attach the receiver securely to the RC helicopter so it's not in the way of moving parts.
