How to Connect an Excel Ignition DLE55

An RC plane is a type of radio-controlled model aircraft controlled remotely by a receiver which sends signals to servos in the plane, moving the control surfaces in coordination with the position of joysticks on the transmitter. This, in turn, affects the velocity, lift, and heading of the plane. The Accel (pronounced "Excel") DLE55 engine is designed for use in RC planes, giving you a high amount of power output and a light weight. Installing its ignition coil correctly is vital to avoid short circuits and fires.

Instructions

  Connect the high voltage terminal of your ignition coil to the tip of the spark plug with the included insulated wire. The high voltage terminal is at the top center of the coil, with the deep socket.

  Connect the body of the spark plug to the positive terminal of the ignition coil.

  Connect the battery pack of the engine to the negative terminal of the ignition coil.

  Mount the included 1/2-inch foam on all sides around the ignition module to hold it in place and avoid damage from vibration. Your ignition coil installation is now complete.
