Look on the car for the brand, type of car, product number or code or anything else that may help you identify the car.
Look at the RC Car Guide to find out the make or brand of the RC buggy. The guide details what the car looks like, when it was made, who manufactured it and what other makes are similar to it.
Take it to a hobby shop, RC store, or if it is older, an antique professional who specializes in toys. Hobby shops can be found in the yellow pages and you can call and ask about their knowledge of RC cars before making the trip. Many workers in a hobby shop are very knowledgeable about makes and models and, even if they do not know the answer, they may know someone who does.
Find a local club, if possible. You may have to search online to find one within your county or state. Once you find a club, you can call or go to a meeting and ask for help in identifying the buggy. In the very least, you will meet other enthusiasts who know a lot about RC cars.
Utilize online forums or the "Contact Us" section of popular RC websites. Many RC enthusiasts, on sites such as Neo Buggy or RC Universe, can help you identify your buggy. All you have to do is create a screen name and make a post with all the information you have about your vehicle. Adding a picture may help the members identify it as well. Ask for help and most likely, you will get several responses.
