How Do I Fly My Fast Lane RC Micro Fighter Plane?

The Fast Lane micro radio-controlled (RC) fighter plane is a two-channel aircraft made out of durable EPS foam, a generic form of Styrofoam. This toy-grade aircraft is intended for beginner pilots. It uses simplified dual-joystick controls - throttle and steering - to enable the complex maneuverability of more sophisticated models. Learn how to fly your Fast Lane micro fighter plane to reduce the risk of damage to the aircraft and to sharpen your skills as a pilot.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the transmitter and the aircraft. The power switch is located in the center of the transmitter and on the underbelly of the plane. Place the airplane on a level, wide-open surface.

    • 2

Use the left joystick to apply throttle by raising it steadily to increase forward thrust. Continue to increase the throttle until the airplane propels itself up into the air.

    • 3

Steer the aircraft using the right joystick to fly it left or right. Move the joystick to direct the flight path of the aircraft.

    • 4

Combine the influence of both joysticks to fly the airplane in a 3-dimensional space. Use the left joystick to manipulate the forward thrust, while directing the aircraft with the right joystick. Practice flying in figure eight patterns to improve your comfort with the controls.

    • 5

Land the aircraft by flying it parallel to the ground while gradually reducing the throttle. Reduce throttle to decrease the aircraft's altitude until the wheels touch the ground. Shut down the motor by moving the throttle joystick all the way down.
