How to Clean RC Cars

As you enjoy driving your radio control car through all types of terrain, one drawback is the amount of dirt and mud that it accumulated. Unfortunately, you can't just drive your RC car through a car wash as you would with a normal car. Instructions

    • 1

Remove any batteries from your RC car.

    • 2

Brush any loose dirt or debris from the outer surface of the RC car with a soft cleaning brush. Be cautious that no debris gets into an open carburetor

    • 3

Create a solution using a few cups of warm water and a few drops of dish detergent. Dip the bristles from a toothbrush into the solution and use it to brush the tires of the RC car.

    • 4

Submerge a clean cloth into the soapy solution. Wring the cloth so it doesn't drip and wipe down the entire surface and underneath the RC car. Dry the car by wiping it down with a separate dry cloth.

    • 5

Remove and replace the air filters of the RC car. If you are unable to replace the air filters, run them under warm water and use your hand to wipe loose any dirt.

    • 6

Apply WD-40 to lubricate any necessary areas on your RC car, including the engine.
