Charge It
Use the screwdriver to remove the screw on the back of the transmitter and then open the access panel to expose the battery compartment.
Install six "AA" batteries in accordance with the diagrams printed inside the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment and secure the door with the screw.
Open the panel on the front of the controller to access the charger wire. Plug the end of the wire into the receptacle located on the underside of the helicopter.
Turn the transmitter power on; both the red and green LED will illuminate. Allow the charger enough time to fully charge the battery. The green LED will turn off once charging is complete.
Fly It
Unplug the charger wire and coil it back into the transmitter's compartment, closing the panel. Turn on the helicopter's power switch, located on the underside of the aircraft.
Place the helicopter on a level, wide-open area. Apply thrust with the left joystick, to lift the aircraft off the ground and into the air.
Fly the aircraft vertically until it is twelve inches off the ground and then adjust the trim by clicking the two buttons located on the transmitter underneath the red LED light. If your helicopter spins uncontrollably counter-clockwise, press the right trim button to correct it. If it spins clockwise, press the left trim button. Press the trim buttons in either direction until the aircraft flies in a straight path.
Use the right joystick to turn the aircraft in the direction you wish it to fly. Push the steering joystick right to turn the aircraft clockwise, and move it to the left to rotate the helicopter counter-clockwise. Combine the influence of both joysticks to fly your helicopter in a three-dimensional space. Use the left joystick to increase or decrease altitude, and the right joystick to steer the aircraft.
Land the aircraft by steadily decreasing the thrust, using the left joystick to reduce it. As the aircraft approaches the ground, slightly increase thrust to minimize the force of the landing. Reduce throttle completely to stop the rotors when the aircraft is safely planted on the ground. Turn off the helicopter's power before turning off the transmitter.
