Air Hogs Sharpshooter Instructions

Air Hogs is a popular manufacturer of toy-grade radio-controlled aircraft. They design simple-to-fly model aircraft that are intended to get everyone flying, no matter the skill set; however, flying any RC does require a certain level of skill to navigate with precision. Learning how to properly use your Air Hogs Sharpshooter Helicopter will ensure that you have the most successful flights while minimizing the risk of damage to the aircraft.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

  1. Charging

    • 1

Use a screwdriver to open the back panel of the transmitter, then access the battery compartment. Insert the 6 batteries in accordance with the diagrams drawn inside the compartment. Close the compartment panel, then secure it with the screwdriver.

    • 2

turn the transmitter off, then lift the front cover up to reveal the charging wire. Turn the helicopter off, then insert the charger wire into the socket on the side of the helicopter's fuselage.

    • 3

Switch the controller to the CHG position (the LED will flash indicating charging has commenced), then disconnect the charger once both charge and power light indicators flash simultaneously. Tuck the charger wire back into the transmitter and fold the front cover closed.

    Flying

    • 4

Load the missile into the launch tube by aligning the missile key (a fin extending from the missile) with the path cut into the launch tube. Push the missile all the way into the tube until you hear a click. Repeat this step for both missiles.

    • 5

Turn the aircraft and transmitter on, then place your helicopter on a flat, wide-open surface. Apply throttle using the left joystick to lift the aircraft vertically into the air.

    • 6

Use the trim adjuster knob (located in the center near the top of the transmitter) to correct any unwanted rotation you may experience during your first flight. If your helicopter spins clockwise, turn the trim knob left until the helicopter flies straight; if it spins counterclockwise, turn the knob right to correct it.

    • 7

Use the right joystick to turn the helicopter, pointing the aircraft's nose in the direction you wish it to fly. If you want to fly left, slowly move the joystick left to spin the helicopter in that direction. Combine the influence of both joysticks to fly your helicopter in any direction you wish.

    • 8

Land the aircraft by steadily decreasing the throttle, then, as the helicopter comes close to the ground, slightly raise the throttle to reduce the impact of the landing. Decrease the throttle completely once the aircraft touches down, then wait for the rotors to stop moving before approaching the vehicle. Turn off both helicopter and transmitter when finished flying.
