Charge
Loosen the screw on the back of the transmitter, then unclip the battery compartment access panel. Insert the 6 AA batteries according to the orientations displayed in the six available battery slots. Close the battery compartment by snapping it closed, then tightening the screw.
Slide open the charger compartment on the front of the transmitter, located in the center just beneath the power indicator. Plug the helicopter onto the connector by aligning the arrows on the connector and the helicopter receptacle.
Turn on the transmitter, and let the battery charge; this process is indicated by both the red and green lights illuminating on the transmitter. Disconnect the charger when the green light goes out, indicating that the battery is fully charged. If the red light begins blinking, it is time to replace the batteries.
Adjust and Fly
Turn on the transmitter and the aircraft, then place the helicopter on a flat, wide-open surface. Apply enough throttle using the left joystick to lift the aircraft up to an altitude of around 6 inches to a foot.
Correct any rotation you notice by pressing the trim adjuster, located underneath the right joystick. If your helicopter spins clockwise, press the left trim button until the aircraft flies straight; use the right button to correct counterclockwise rotation.
Use the throttle joystick to control the altitude of the helicopter, while directing the nose and direction of flight with the right joystick. Combine the influence of these two joysticks to navigate the aircraft in a 3-dimensional area.
Land the helicopter by slowly reducing the throttle; then, as the helicopter approaches the ground, slightly increase the thrust to reduce the impact of the landing.
