How to Use an AUX Connection on an RC Transmitter

While all radio systems offer at least 2 input channels, some more advanced transmitters provide an auxiliary input for customized options. While some radio-controlled (RC) vehicle enthusiasts use this input for lighting systems and other custom aesthetic systems, others use this input for modified control. Learning how to access your transmitter's AUX option will allow you to access the full potential of your radio system.

Instructions

      Enter the transmitter's function menu by holding the setup button or following the instructions set forth by the user manual.

      Highlight the "Input" option in the function menu, then press the "Select" button to enter the input list. Click the up or down button until the "AUX" option is highlighted. Press the "Select" button to open the auxiliary settings of the transmitter.

      Press the up or down button to turn the AUX option on or off. If your transmitter offers extensive AUX options, choose the channel your want to assign the AUX input; in other words, if you want the ELEVATOR control to be applied to the AUX input, highlight "ELEV" under the AUX settings, and press "Select."

      Turn off the transmitter to finalize all settings, which will be applied when you turn the power back on.
