Things You'll Need
Instructions
Saw the tips off the end of your stationary track, so that it fits against the flat end of your flex track.
Fit track joiners over the ends of your stationary tracks. Attach the track joiners to the bottom of the tracks by slipping them over the bottom half of the tracks to the last rail tie.
Hold the flex track in both hands and gently bend it to see which side is the flexible side and which is the sliding side. As you bend, one side will get shorter, and the ties will get closer together. Place the track on the work surface so that the sliding side is on the inside of the curve.
Slide the flex track into the track joiners. Test that the sliding side is in the correct position by test-bending the track. If it is on the wrong side, remove and flip the track around.
Bend the flex track into the position of the curve. Tack the track loosely into position, in case you need to adjust it.
Connect your track to the rest of your model train setup using additional track joiners. Repeat the process to join a second piece of flex or straight track to your railroad. When the track forms a closed loop, move on.
Tack the flex track down firmly so that the track does not shift.
