Things You'll Need
Instructions
Attach the two hopper support beams to the hopper stand on the C-shaped piece of track. Point the open part of the C toward you. Clip the hopper into place on the top of that, with the ledge facing left. Place this piece of track at the top right corner of your play surface.
Clip the track with a flat end to the left side of the C-shaped piece. The track pieces fit together using a two-piece lock. Click the pieces into place.
Clip a long piece of track to the other end of the C-shaped track. Attach a second track to that piece.
Click a curved piece of track into place at the open end of the track.
Attach the two-sided transfer ramp to the end of the track.
Attach a section of straight track, a curved piece and another section of track to the end of your track to bring it around the corner. You have now assembled about half of your track layout.
Attach the T-junction to the end of the track. One end of the T should point upward, and a second toward the right.
Join the U-shaped track loop to the right-facing part of the T-junction. The square slot at the end of the loop should be next to the slot on the end of the short track. Attach these two pieces by inserting the delivery chute into the two slots.
Clip a curved piece of track to the other end of the T-junction. To the end of that, attach the ramp piece, clipping the end of the ramp to the end of the hopper.
Load rocks into the hopper. The rocks are the 12 marbles included with your set.
Clip the rectangular loading trough into the loading dock at the end of the ramp loop.
Place Thomas and Percy's shells onto the transfer ramp at the front of your track layout. They should be facing each other, resting on top of the transfer ramp at an upward angle. Place Terence onto the transfer ramp on the loop. There is a peg on the bottom of his bucket, slide that into the channel on the track.
Lift the top off of the chassis, and insert one AA battery into the compartment. Squeeze the top half of the chassis to disconnect it, then lift the top off to open it. Close the chassis.
Place the chassis on the track so that the guide pin fits into the track. Put it on the track behind Thomas, with the arrow on the front pointing toward him.
Turn on the switch on the model. If you want to change the direction of the chassis, press one of the buttons on the corners of the track to switch directions and control the vehicle.
