Instructions
Start your engine by following the instruction manual included with the kit. Drive your vehicle around for a few minutes (no more than five) until the engine heats up to its normal running temperature.
Adjust the high-speed needle, located on the left side of the carburetor; it looks like a stack of two metal cylinders with a flat-head screw driven through the center. Turn it counterclockwise an 1/8 of a turn, then drive the vehicle at full throttle to assess any improvements in performance. Continue to make incremental adjustments until the vehicle seems to have reached peak performance; meaning the vehicle's top speed no longer increases as a result of changes made to the needle.
Adjust the low-speed needle, located opposite to the high-speed needle (it is a lever). Pinch the fuel line, then listen for the engine to increase rotations-per-minute (rpm) before eventually stalling out. If the rpms drastically increase, turn the low-speed needle an 1/8 of a turn clockwise, then pinch the fuel line and reassess the engine's response. If the rpms do not increase and the engine quickly stalls out, turn the low-speed needle 1/8 turn counterclockwise, then pinch the fuel line and reassess the engine's response. Continue to test with the pinch method until the engine increases rpms slightly before stalling out in a matter of 10 seconds.
