How to Set Up Pitch Curve For a Belt CP

Most radio-controlled (RC) vehicle enthusiasts consider the helicopter to be the most difficult RC to navigate. Flying your Esky Belt CP requires considerable patience and practice; however, making the correct adjustments to your aircraft will determine how quickly you become a successful pilot. Learning how to properly adjust your Belt CP's pitch curve helps you to understand the mechanics of your aircraft, while enhancing your ability to perform advanced maneuvers.

Instructions

Turn the pitch knob, located on the top-right corner of the transmitter, to the 0 position. This is the setting recommended by the company, and all adjustments are best accomplished from this neutral position.

    • 2

Turn the knob counter-clockwise to decrease the pitch curve, or clockwise to increase it. In a neutral position, the helicopter's blades will increase their pitch evenly throughout an increase in throttle; in other words, the pitch of the blades changes as the throttle joystick moves from 1/4 power all the way up to full power. At the zero setting, this variation continues at a consistent pace.

    • 3

Choose how you want the helicopter to behave in the air. If you want the pitch to increase when the throttle joystick exceeds 1/2 power, turn the pitch adjustment knob clockwise. If you'd prefer more lift when the throttle is below 1/2 power, turn the pitch knob counterclockwise.

    • 4

Turn the hover pitch knob, located on the top-left corner of the transmitter, to adjust the speed at which the blades spin during a hover. If you want the helicopter to be able to hover when little throttle is applied, turn the know counterclockwise; if you'd prefer a high-powered hover, turn the knob clockwise. This setting affects the maneuverability of your aircraft, so consider how much energy you want the vehicle to expend whenever you decide to hover.
