Things You'll Need
Instructions
Clean the track. Any dirt or other obstructions will slow your train down considerably. Use a vacuum or compressed air to fully clean the track.
Lube up the exterior components of the train. Use WD-40 on key surface areas in order to maximize speed and minimize friction.
Lube up the interior components of the train. The engine contains many gears that allow it to function. Over time, these gears can corrode and become filled with friction. If you frequently lubricate the gears, you will maximize the speed of your train.
