How to Setup Remote Control Helicopter Receiver

Insert the receiver crystal into the slot located on the receiver, then insert the corresponding transmitter crystal into the frequency slot on the transmitter. Mount the receiver inside the helicopter, following the instructions that came with your specific helicopter model.

Check to see that the transmitter's elevator trim is set to zero, and that the throttle joystick is centered at midstick level.

Insert batteries into the transmitter, then establish a connection between the radio receiver and the rechargeable battery pack. Engage the power switch and turn on the transmitter. Click the device selection function to enter the device menu, then set all radio channels from ACT to INH, disengaging all the receiver's channels and switches.

Open the wing selection settings in the transmitter's menu, then engage the dual aileron servo setting in the receiver. Insert the right aileron servo's connector into the receiver channel labeled, "AILE." Insert the left aileron servo into the receiver's AUX1 input channel.

Identify the elevator settings in the transmitter's menu, then engage the dual elevator option on the receiver. Insert the right elevator servo's connector into the ELEV input on the receiver, then connect the left elevator servo into the receiver's GEAR input.

Insert the electronic speed control's (ESC) connector into the receiver's THRO (throttle) input, then activate it using the transmitter's motor function. Plug in the helicopter's gyro into the RUDD input on the receiver, then turn it on from the transmitter.

Turn on the receiver and the transmitter, and test the functionality of all 6 channels. Move the joysticks and test that the corresponding servo is working properly.
