Instructions

  1. Waterproof the Servo

    • 1

Remove your servo from the chassis by loosening the mounting screws, disconnecting the servo horn, then unplugging it from the receiver. Pull the servo completely away from the vehicle.

    • 2

Hold the servo dangling by the wire, then dip it into the opened can of synthetic rubber coating. Cover at least two inches of the servo wire with the dip, then slowly pull it out of the can. Place newspaper underneath to catch any of the drippings, then hang the servo to allow it at least four hours of drying time.

    • 3

Cut away any excess coating from the moving servo portion, then reinstall the servo horn with a screw. Install the servo onto the chassis and mount it with screws. Reconnect the servo to the receiver, then turn it on to make sure it functions properly.

    Waterproof the Receiver

    • 4

Detach the receiver from the chassis by peeling it off the mounting tape.

    • 5

Bundle the wires leading into the receiver with a zip tie. Slide the receiver into the balloon, then tie off the balloon end with another zip tie.

    • 6

Reinstall the receiver with more mounting tape by peeling a small inch-long section, then applying it to the chassis. Press the receiver firmly to ensure complete contact between the tape and the balloon.
