How to Stop a RC Heli From Turning

One of the key aspects to flying your RC helicopter is maintaining superior control. Maneuvering your vehicle depends on exerting minuscule forces in the direction you wish the helicopter to travel. Sometimes the adjustments are not in a neutral position, resulting in a helicopter that acts spontaneously. Learning how to properly trim your RC helicopter will prevent catastrophic airborne mistakes, minimizing the risk of losing control and damaging the vehicle.

     Locate the trim adjustment slider on the transmitter. It is normally above the steering joystick, running horizontally.

     Raise the throttle enough to get the helicopter airborne, then observe the direction in which it rotates.

     Slide the trim opposite to the rotation; in other words, if the helicopter spins clockwise, move the trim adjuster to the left until it no longer rotates uncontrollably. Make all adjustments gradually to prevent overshooting your mark.
