How to Play Scalextric

Scalextric is a slot car racing game in which players propel a model car around a track using a hand control connected to the electrical circuit. Scalextric supplies many optional extras, like additional track pieces, that allow players to customize their tracks for many hours of racing fun. The appeal of the game is broad enough that parents are known to buy it for their children, only so they can enjoy it themselves.

Instructions

- 1
  Assemble your racing track. Click the pieces together, and construct a circuit using the number of pieces and space you have. Try not to change the level of the track too much, as steep gradients affect the speed of the cars.

  Click any barriers you want onto the side of the track. This is particularly important on the corners, to prevent the cars from flying off the track

  Connect the power to the track. Connect the controllers to the ports on the side of the track to provide power to the racing slots.

  Place your racing cars on the track so the rudders at the fronts of them are sitting inside the racing slot. Begin the countdown to the race start.

  Pull the trigger on the hand controller to get your car moving. Control speed by adjusting the pressure you apply to the trigger.
