Trim Your Helicopter
Turn on the helicopter and transmitter, then place the vehicle on a hard, wide-open surface.
Apply enough throttle (using the left joystick) to lift the helicopter off the ground. Raise it a few feet into the air, then adjust the trim setting using the slider located above the steering joystick. Click the adjuster gradually to oppose the rotation of the helicopter; in other words, move it to the left to offset a counterclockwise rotation, and to the right to balance a clockwise spin.
Release the throttle gradually, allowing the vehicle to come to rest on the ground. Apply throttle again to assess your settings, and to make any final minor adjustments.
Fly Your Helicopter
Apply gradual throttle, allowing the vehicle to lift off the ground. Increase the throttle slowly until the helicopter begins to ascend in a smooth fashion.
Use the steering joystick to direct the helicopter in a chosen path. Make minor adjustments to maintain a fluid motion. Utilize precise control, since drastic changes will most likely result in an accidental collision with the ground.
Decrease throttle to descend, and increase it to gain altitude. Make subtle adjustments to prevent a loss of lift.
