How to Build Tech Deck Fingerboard Obstacles

Tech Deck fingerboards, the miniature skateboards that you maneuver with your fingers, are capable of performing many of the same tricks that can be done on a normal skateboard. When you get tired of ollieing on your kitchen table, you can create your own mini skate park with a few crafting materials available at your local hobby store.

Instructions

  1. Tech Deck Picnic Table

    • 1

Use the razor blade on the balsa wood to cut out a table top. You are going to use this to perform rail slides on, as well as ollie over, so try to make it to scale. It doesn't need to be exact, but three to four times the length of the Tech Deck would be a good size.

    • 2

Cut out two benches, two table legs, and four smaller legs for the benches, using the left over balsa wood. Glue the legs of the table to the top of the table using wood glue, and attach the bench legs in the same manner.

    • 3

Paint your picnic table and allow it to dry. Once it is finished, test the table by skateboarding all over it.

    Tech Deck Curb

    • 4

Strip the wrapper off of a few sardine cans.

    • 5

Glue the cans together lengthwise to create a long curb. If the glue you have around the house doesn't hold, you can purchase special glue designed to fasten metal to metal.

    • 6

Paint the sardine cans to match the coloring of a curb. You can paint part of the cans gray, while painting portions red or blue to replicate handicapped parking areas or fire zones.
