Ease the flying helicopter into a hover. Pull back gently on the control sticks to counter the forward motion, and don't tilt the sticks to the left or right.
Bring the throttle on the helicopter down slowly. You will notice the helicopter sinks to the ground lightly. It will come down faster the faster you lower the throttle, so take it very easy when you're calming the engine, otherwise, you may damage the skids. Lower the aircraft until it touches down on the ground.
Turn the throttle off and then turn the controller off. Wait a few seconds for the helicopter blades to stop spinning.
Pick up the helicopter, power off the receiver and pack the calmed helicopter away.
