Making Your Tonka Truck
Remove the plastic from the empty tissue box opening, making sure not to damage the box in the process.
Use the sharpened pencil to poke four holes in the box. Place the holes, two on each side, at the top and bottom of the long sides of the box.
Put one unsharpened pencil into each set of holes to make the wheel axles. Move the pencils around to maximize the space the wheel axle has to rotate.
Put a medium-sized dot of glue onto the inside of a bottle cap. Stick the cap on the end of the unsharpened pencil. Press firmly until this dries. Repeat the process for the other pencil ends using three more bottle caps.
Glue the last bottle cap to the front of the opening on the top of the box. This will act as your steering wheel.
Paint or decorate your truck with craft supplies. Be traditional and paint racing stripes down the sides, or be extra creative and use stencils to draw unique designs on your car.
Make a few other trucks so you can race them on the floor.
