How to Replace the Main Rotor on an Air Hogs Havoc Helicopter

The Air Hogs Havoc Heli is one of the world's smallest remote-controlled helicopters. Despite hardy construction and a relatively lightweight frame, the Havoc Heli will eventually require a rotor replacement after several wrecks. On the other hand, many owners replace the stock Havoc Heli blade with a better model before ever flying the toy. There are a bevy of new rotors on the market that work on most micro-helicopters, including the Havoc Heli.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Place your Havoc Heli on a flat working surface.

    • 2

Grip the main shaft just below the plastic rotor with a pair of needle-nose pliers. Slowly twist the rotor back and forth while simultaneously pulling the rotor upward.

    • 3

Grip the shaft with your pliers while inserting the point through the new rotor blade ring.

    • 4

Twist the new rotor from side to side while simultaneously pushing down.

    • 5

Remove the pliers and pull up on the rotor to check the connection. The rotor should stay firmly in place without any sliding up or down.
