How to Build a Motorized Model Car

Building model cars is a great way to pass the time on a rainy day and spend quality time with your child. Making a motorized car, in particular, is fun and can be slightly challenging. Your children will be impressed with their handiwork when they complete the project and give their car a go. Listed below are the simple steps you can take to construct a basic motorized model car using a kit. When you're done making your car, you can keep it basic or you can embellish it with things such as paint and stickers.

Building Your Motorized Model Car

  Open the box and gather all the parts. Separate the body pieces, the motor pieces and the tires from one another, placing them in different stacks.

  Put the body pieces together, as shown in the instruction manual. Once this is done, your car will look a little bit more complete and easy to assemble.

  Install the motor as outlined in the instruction manual. Make sure to follow each step accurately because this is one of the more important sections that will ensure the car will operate properly.

  Add the wheel axles as outlined in the instruction manual. The axles must be installed correctly for the apparatus to work adequately.

  Put the base into place as outlined in the instruction manual. It should just snap into place if you've done everything correctly up until this point. Next, snap the wheels onto their axles as outlined in the instruction manual.

  Decorate your car. You can be traditional and paint racing stripes along the side, or you can be creative and draw your own designs all over it.
