Blade CP Helicopter Flying Instructions

The Blade CP is a remote controlled model helicopter from E-Flite. Although E-Flite primarily produces RC airplanes, the Blade CP and Blade CP Pro are exceptions to the lineup. These multiblade RC helicopters have electric engines and strong plastics that make it the perfect RC helicopter for a beginner. If you have never flown an RC helicopter or if you are new to the Blade CP system, you should employ several techniques to have a pleasant flying experience.

Instructions

    • 1

Charge the battery pack for the helicopter and make sure the remote control has a fresh set of batteries as well.

    • 2

Visit a large grass field during the daytime. Use this field as your practice area.

    • 3

Hold the Blade CP by the base of the helicopter. Power on the helicopter using the "On/Off" switch on the bottom of the model and turn on the remote using the switch on the top of the control. Fully extend the remote's antenna. While tightly grasping the helicopter, press on the directional sticks on the remote to make sure the blades and rudders are working properly.

    • 4

Set the helicopter on the grass field. Place it in an area where there are no trees, buildings or other obstructions that could interrupt your flight. Move at least five feet away from the helicopter.

    • 5

Slowly apply upward pressure on the remote's left-hand control stick. Allow the Blade CP to hover three to five feet above the ground. At this height, use the right-hand control stick to practice maneuvering the helicopter in various directions.

    • 6

Land the Blade CP. Release the right-hand control stick to stop the helicopter from spinning. Slowly release the left control stick so that the Blade CP softly touches back onto the grass field. Pick up your helicopter and inspect it for damage or for any modifications that could improve your flying experience.
