How to Make a Teck Deck Ramp

You can make a Tech Deck ramp from a few common household items to practice high-flying fingerboard tricks. A Tech Deck is a small, plastic toy skateboard that is ridden with the tips of the index and middle fingers instead of the feet. Constructing a customizable Tech Deck ramp allows riders to make small changes until they are happy with the rise and position of the ramp. Make an inexpensive cardboard ramp to make skating on a Tech Deck even more fun.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Pull the bag out of the cereal box and dump out any cereal that remains in the box into a trash can.

    • 2

Cut off the two separated sections of the top panel of the box and throw them away.

    • 3

Slice or snip along all four corner seams of the box, starting at the top and stopping once you are within 2 inches of the bottom panel of the box.

    • 4

Turn the dissected box upside down on a flat surface so the bottom panel is facing up and the four side panels are able to spread out to make the basic Tech Deck ramp shape.

    • 5

Secure the cardboard Tech Deck ramp to the flat surface by applying wide strips of masking tape to the ends of each of the four sections of the ramp. You can make the cardboard ramp more rigid by covering the entire upper surface with a layer of masking tape. The slightly abrasive surface of the masking tape grips the tiny plastic Tech Deck wheels and makes it easier to land tricks on the ramp.
