Step by Step How to Ollie on a Tech Deck

Tech Deck miniature skateboards are capable of doing many of the same tricks that are possible on a full-sized skateboard. A Tech Deck is controlled with the the tips of two fingers instead of two feet. The basic skateboard jump, called an ollie, uses the curved tail of the skateboard to spring the entire deck into the air. Master the ollie so you are able to move on to more complex Tech Ceck jumping tricks.

Instructions

    • 1

Set the Tech Deck on a hard, flat surface with the wheels facing down. Slightly absorbent, yet firm, linoleum floors make it a little easier to land Tech Deck tricks.

    • 2

Place the index finger of your dominant hand on the Tech Deck above the bolts that are near the flat nose of the board.

    • 3

Set your middle finger from the same hand in the center of the bent tail of the Tech Deck.

    • 4

Press down with your middle finger with medium pressure until you feel light upward pressure on your index finger.

    • 5

Lift both fingers straight up off the Tech Deck to allow the board to pop up into the air.

    • 6

Slide your index finger slightly forward to level the board in the air.

    • 7

Replace your middle finger on the tail and index finger over the front bolts as you ride the leveled Tech Deck to the ground.
