How to Fly a Havoc Heli Forward

The Havoc Heli from Air Hogs is an inexpensive model helicopter. This toy takes a lot of practice to fly, and even more to fly well. The 'copter moves and turns based on the speed of the rotors, not in a traditional forward and back sense. With a little knowledge and some basic modifications, it is possible to get the Heli to fly forward in a somewhat wobbly line.

Instructions

    • 1

Place a thumbtack in the nose of the plane. This will make the front end just heavy enough that it will keep the nose pointed slightly downwards.

    • 2

Get your Havoc Heli in the air and flying straight.

    • 3

Pulse the direction stick right and left. The speed of the pulse will vary based on the environment the Heli is flown in.

    • 4

Watch the Heli. It should move forward in a very shallow wave pattern, a little to the right, then left, then right, and so on.

    • 5

Add an additional tack to the nose if it still pulls to the right or left. The weight shouldn't drag the Heli down, but it should give it a natural forward motion.
