How to Do a Tech Deck Ollie & Kickflip

The Tech Deck is a miniature toy skateboard that allows you to mimic the tricks that the pros perform with real skateboards. Using your fingers to act as the feet on the skateboard, you can easily learn how to perform both the ollie and the kickflip. Practice the tricks and amaze your friends with your skill.

Instructions

  1. The Ollie

    • 1

Place the Tech Deck on a flat, even surface.

    • 2

Position your middle finger on the tail of the board and your index finger on the front truck screws of the board.

    • 3

Start rolling the board forward by moving your arm, then pull it back gently.

    • 4

Using the backwards momentum of the board for help, push down onto the tail of the board with your middle finger to pop up the front of the board.

    • 5

Slide your index finger from the front truck toward the nose of the board to level it out while it is in the air.

    • 6

Firmly press down onto the top of the board with your two fingers to land the trick.

    The Kickflip

    • 7

Position the board on a flat, even surface and place your middle finger on the tail of the board and your index finger on the front trucks screws.

    • 8

Move the board forward by moving your arm, then pull it back slightly to gain backwards momentum.

    • 9

Press down hard onto the tail of the board with your middle finger, then slide your index finger up and towards your body to initiate the flip.

    • 10

Plant your two fingers down onto the board after the flip is complete to land the trick.
