How to Sell Toy Tractors

Your child is going away to college and you are cleaning out their room. Your child has passed that age to play with toy tractors. You are doing your spring cleaning and found a toy tractor that has been buried for years. Or maybe the toy is just collecting dust because your child has a new toy that he/she is infatuated with. Whatever the case may be you want to get rid of the toy.

There are, of course, many options for getting rid of toy tractors. You can give it away to charity or give it to a friend whose child can utilize the toy. But if you want to gain a profit from it you can sell it. Below are a few selling options and tips.

First you will need to determine how much you are wanting for your toy tractor. You can either come up with a price that you feel the tractor is worth, or you can look into prices for it. To do so you can take it to a local antique store and ask them how much they think it is worth. You never know, it might be worth more then what you think it is.

Once your price has been determined it is time to put it out on the market. There are a couple of places you can put your toy tractors out on the market. The first place is http://www.craigslist.org. According to wikipedia, Craigslist is a centralized network of online communities, featuring free online classified advertisements -- with sections devoted to jobs, housing, personals, for sale, services, community, gigs, résumés, and discussion forums. On there, you will be able to post your item for sell.
When on there click on the city and state that you are in. Next, on the far left, click on "post to classifieds". Then click on "for sale". After that, click on "toys and games". Once you have done that you will have to choose an area listed nearest you off of the list they provide. After that you can fill out the rest of the information and post it. You can leave you number or just an email as a contact means.

Another option you have is selling your toy tractor on ebay, at http://www.ebay.com. Once on their Web Site click on "sell" at the top left corner. If you want, once it gets to the next page, you can find out what the average price is for a toy tractor. If you don't want to do this, you can click on "start selling". Next you will have to register, which is free. Once you have registered, you can place your item up for bid by filling out the needed information. Your item will then be bid on and the one with the highest bid at the close of the bid date will get the toy tractor. You can either ship it to them, at there expense. Or you can have them pick it up, if it is close enough to you.

Also, to sell your toy tractor, you can post an ad in your local newspaper. To do this you can go to their Web Site and fill out the needed information. You will have to pay, and how much is dependant upon how long the ad is and if you want to add a picture. Be sure to speak with someone there to get further details. You can get their number off of their Web Site in the "Contact Us" section.
