If you're interested in getting out on the drifting track, then you need to outfit you're ride with some drifting wheels. While there are some offered at the hobby store, nothing beats the convenience--and cheapness--of building you own set at home.

Things You'll Need

  • 4 Tires
  • Bottle of super glue
  • 1 6-inch section of PVC Pipe with a 2.5-inch diameter
  • Saw

Instructions

  1. Construct the Tires

    • 1

Slip the rims into the wheels. Lay the rim on a flat surface, place the tire on top of it, and the push it straight down so the rim pops inside. Flip the lips of the tires into the grooves along the edges of the rim.

    • 2

Apply super-glue around the circumference on both sides, where the rubber of the tires meets the rim.

    • 3

Cut four sections of the PVC, which equal the thickness of the wheels.

    • 4

Place the PVC-pipe sections on the table, and pop a wheel into each of the four. The rubber in contact with the plastic should offer sufficient grip, though you can apply some super glue to ensure that they do not separate. However, this will make your drifting wheels permanent.
