Capable of speeds up to 10mph these scooters aren't just popular toys for children but a transportation mode of choice for urban adults. Razor scooters are easy to maintain. The most complicated thing you may have to do is replace the battery should it start to lose its ability to hold a charge. You can replace a Razor scooter battery, no matter what model you have, easily.

Instructions

Remove the four screws in the top of the deck with a Phillips head screwdriver. Then lift the deck off the frame. You will see the batteries in the compartment below the deck.

Take the accessory wire (that is attached to the battery) and follow it to the white plug-in connector that attaches it to the wiring harness of the scooter. Press the two tabs on the side in and pull the connectors apart. If you have an E100/E125/E150/E175 model, you will have two batteries. Each of their connectors must be separated from the scooter wiring harness. Remove the battery from the compartment.

Place your new battery in the compartment. You can find a new battery for your Razor scooter at any auto supply store, scooter store or big box store (i.e., Walmart or Target). Make sure that the battery is sitting flat on the bottom of the compartment. Plug the accessory wire coming off the battery into the wiring harness; it will have the same connection as the one you just disconnected. Simply push the two halves of the connectors together until the tabs click into place. Replace the deck onto the compartment and screw it down.
