Instructions
Prepare a shoe
Remove the insoles of your rubber-soled shoes.
Flip shoe upside down so that the sole of the shoe is facing up.
Take mounting plate from your skate kit and place it center (equal distance from the heel and toe of the shoe) onto the sole.
Use a pen to mark your sole where the holes are on the mounting plate before setting the mounting plate aside.
Hold shoe form while positioning your drill on each marked hole. Wiggling your drill up and down will help drill your two holes through your shoe's sole.
Attach Skate Plate to Shoe
Place washers inside the shoe sole around the holes.
Inserting screw so that screw head is on the inside of the shoe. Washer should be secure between the screw head and the inside shoe sole.
Attach the skate plate to each show, using a mallet to help tap the plate gently to the shoe's surface.
Place the mounting bolt nut onto each of the screws and tighten first with your fingers and then with a wrench. Make sure the mounting bolt nut does not cut through the shoe's base
Break off excess screw ends using a breaker bar. Place the bar on each screw and move the bar back and forth until the screw ends break off.
Remove the jagged edge of the screw near the mounting bolt nut with a hammer. Hammer until the edge feels flat.
Attaching Skate Truck, Wheels and Toe Stop
Align the skate trucks onto the skate plate.
Tighten the king pin nut to attach the truck to the plate. First tighten with your fingers. Use an 11/16ths wrench to tighten further.
Place wheels on the truck's axle and place an axle nut over each wheel. Tighten axle nuts and spin each wheel to make sure they rotate properly.
Attach the toe stop to the truck by placing the toe stop nut over the toe stop and tightening with a screw driver.
