Things You'll Need
Instructions
Clean your scooter once a week. Since your Razor scooter’s paint is delicate, you want to clean it using a cloth and water. Don’t use anything abrasive, like a scouring pad, unless you want to scratch a new design on the outside.
Check the wheels for signs of wear once a month. It’s not safe to ride a scooter with worn wheels and it won’t be much fun, either. If you find that your scooter’s wheels have noticeable deep scuff marks or are missing one third or more of the tread, unscrew them with the Allen wrench that came with your scooter and replace them with new ones. You can find them at the shop where you bought your scooter or order online.
While you are checking the wheels, make sure that the axles and ball bearings are tight. If not, this could cause your scooter to slip on the road. Use a wrench to fix anything that could pose a problem. If any parts will not tighten, it may be due to excessive wear or a bad fit. Go ahead and buy new parts. Again, they can be found online or at the shop.
If you find that any electric parts of your scooter are malfunctioning, it’s best to leave their care up to a professional. A good place to try is your local bike shop. If you’ve had your scooter less than six months, you may be able to get it replaced if the problem falls under the warranty. Send an email to http://[email protected] for details.
