How to Fasten Thomas the Train Tracks

Thomas Train tracks are based on the TV series of the same names. Train tracks are popular with children and are used to build various set-ups. A basic oval set-up is used to build many track patterns. Younger children may have problems playing with the tracks if they are not fastened properly.

  Line up several straight Thomas Train track pieces. Connect them by inserting the rounded end into the matching hole in the next piece. Fasten them securely using a stabilizing product like "Suretrack." This type of product will hold the train track more securely so children can play with it on carpet or other surfaces without it coming undone easily.

  Make corners on the track by using curved pieces. You can either use two 3 1/2-inch curved tracks or one 6 1/2-inch track. Use straight tracks and then start another corner.

  Add length to the other side by connecting straight pieces and securing with Suretrack. Repeat the far end by uses the instructions in Step 2 and connecting it to the original track. You have now completed an oval train track.
