Instructions

    • 1

Draw the pirate ship shape directly onto a 6-by-4-by-2-inch pinewood block with a pencil.

    • 2

Cut out the pirate ship shape from the wooden block using a jigsaw.

    • 3

Drill a hole into the top of the pirate ship, at the center. The hole should measure ¼ inch in diameter and ½ inch in depth.

    • 4

Pour wood glue into the hole and insert a wooden peg that measures ¼ inch in diameter and 4.5 inches in length.

    • 5

Attach a piece of pinewood that measures 4 inches by ¼ inch by ¼ inch to the top of the wooden peg with glue so that the two pieces make a "T" shape. This is the mast of your pirate ship.

    • 6

Cut a rectangular piece of cloth off of a white T-shirt that measures 4 inches by 3 inches using a pair of scissors.

    • 7

Draw a skull and crossbones design onto the T-shirt rectangle using a black permanent marker.

    • 8

Attach the T-shirt rectangle to the mast using multipurpose glue, with the crossbones design facing the front of the ship.
