How to Make Toy Cars Without Batteries

Place a sheet of newspaper on a table. Place the toilet paper tube horizontally on the newspaper.

Measure two inches from each end of the toilet paper tube. Make a dot at the two inch mark with the pencil. Cut through the sides of the toilet paper tube at the dots with the blade of the scissors.

Place two coasters on the newspaper. Apply bonding glue to the center of each coaster. Place one end of a craft stick in the center of each of the coasters. Let the bonding glue set for two hours.

Push the free ends of the craft sticks through the holes in the side of the toilet paper tube.

Place two coasters on the newspaper. Apply bonding glue to the center of each coaster.

Place the free end of each of the two craft sticks into the center of each of the coasters. Hold the craft sticks to the coasters for a minute.

Stand the coasters on their rims so that the toilet paper tube is now above the newspaper. Let the bonding glue set for two hours.

Place the ends of two plastic straws into the neck of the party balloon. Wrap duct tape around the neck of the party balloon where it meets the two plastic straws.

Cut a hole in the top of the toilet paper tube with the scissors. Push the two straws into one end of the toilet paper tube and out of the hole in the top.

Tape the sides of the two plastic straws where they meet the end of the toilet paper tube with strips of duct tape. Tape the sides of the two plastic straws where they meet the hole at the top of the toilet paper tube with strips of duct tape.

Blow into the end of the two plastic straws to inflate the balloon. Stop blowing when the balloon is fully inflated.

Place your fingers over the open ends of the two plastic straws coming out of the hole in the top of the toilet paper tube.

Place the toy car you have made on the floor. Remove your fingers from over the ends of the two plastic straws and watch the toy car zoom across the floor as the balloon deflates.
