Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cut out a piece of plywood to measure 31 inches by 20 ½ inches.
Apply a thin line of wood glue along all edges of the back of the nightstand.
Attach the plywood to the back of the nightstand with six 1-inch screws.
Cut another piece of plywood to measure 2 inches by 20 ½ inches.
Apply a thin line of wood glue along the top front edge of the nightstand.
Press the strip of wood against the top front of the nightstand making sure to line it up with the top edge and the side edges.
Attach the plywood with four 1-inch screws
Place the large aluminum mixing bowl on top of the nightstand upside down on either side of the nightstand, and trace around the outside of it. Cut around the inside of the line. Place the bowl inside the hole.
Trace the small mixing bowl on the opposite side four times to create circles for the "burners" of the stove. Paint the inside of the circles with the black paint. This will create the illusion that these are burners.
Attach the four cabinet knobs to the front of the nightstand on the 2-by-20 ½-inch piece of plywood. Center them with the four burners you just made. These will be used as pretend knobs for the stove.
Attach a towel rack to the top of the 31-by-20-½-inch piece of plywood. Measure a piece of plywood to sit on top of the towel rack. This will create a shelf as well as a place to store pots and pans.
Place the "S" hooks over the bars on the towel rack. You will be able to use the hooks to hang pots and pans.
