Instructions

    • 1

Place the 1-by-12-by-12-inch board on a work surface. Use a tape measure to measure diagonally 1 inch from each corner. Mark the measurements with a pencil. Drill a 3/8-inch hole with a 3/8-inch drill bit and drill. This is the base for the ring.

    • 2

Apply a dot of wood glue on one end of each of the four dowels. Insert the dowels into the 3/8-inch holes on the corners of the wood board. These are the posts for the wrestling ring. Allow the glue to dry before handling the ring.

    • 3

Apply a wood finish of your choice to the ring base and posts. Allow the finish to dry before handling the ring. Refer to the wood finish container for specific drying instructions.

    • 4

Measure and mark 1 inch down from the top of each of the ring posts. Use a drill and 1/16-inch drill bit to drill through the four posts at the pencil mark. These are the holes for the ring's ropes. The ropes will be made of string.

    • 5

Thread the string through each hole in the post until all four sides of the ring have a string from post to post. Tie a knot in the string to secure it from slipping through the holes in the posts. Cut the string off from the roll. Place the wooden wrestling ring toy in the child's playroom.
