Instructions

    • 1

Measure and cut a 24 inch long piece from the 48 inch 1"x8" board for the base.

    • 2

Measure and cut six pieces that are 31½ inches long from the 1"x4" boards for the sides and front.

    • 3

Cut two 1"x8" pieces measuring 7¼ inches in length for the top and bottom of the handle. These pieces should measure 7¼"x7¼".

    • 4

Measure 3/8 of an inch from both ends of each of the 1"x4"s and draw a line the width of each board. Along that line, measure and drill a hole 3/4 of an inch from both edges using the 3/8-inch countersink drill bit. You should now have two holes at each end of the 1"x4"s approximately 2 inches apart.

    • 5

Align the two pieces of the 7¼"x7¼" boards upright underneath the ends of two of the 1"x4"s. Spread the 1"x4"s apart to the outer edges of each 7¼"x7¼". The 1"x4"s should be approximately a ¼ of an inch apart.

    • 6

Place a 1¼-inch wood screw into each hole and secure them using the #2 Phillips head screwdriver bit with the drill.

    • 7

Flip the unit onto one of its sides. Align two 1"x4"s to the edges of the 7¼"x7¼" pieces, leaving a space approximately ¼ of an inch apart.

    • 8

Place a 1¼-inch wood screw into each hole and secure them using the #2 Phillips head screwdriver bit with the drill.

    • 9

Flip the unit over to the other side. Align two 1"x4"s to the edges of the 7¼"x7¼" pieces, leaving a space approximately ¼ of an inch apart.

    • 10

Place a 1¼-inch wood screw into each hole and secure them using the #2 Phillips head screwdriver bit with the drill.

    • 11

Flip the unit upright onto one end.

    • 12

Place one end of the 24 inch long 1"x8" onto the top of the unit with the open side of the unit facing the length of the board.

    • 13

Screw four 1¼-inch wood screws into the board, securing it to the unit using the #2 Phillips head screwdriver bit with the drill.

    • 14

Flip it over and screw four more 1¼-inch wood screws into the board from the other side for a more secure fit.

    • 15

Attach the four wheels to the base of the scooter with the ¾-inch wood screws using the #2 Phillips head screwdriver bit with the drill.

    • 16

Measure to the center of the 1¼-inch dowel and make a mark with a pencil. Measure 2½ inches from the center in both directions and make a mark.

    • 17

Drill a hole through the 1¼-inch dowel at the three points that were marked using the 3/8-inch countersink drill bit.

    • 18

Measure and center the 1¼-inch dowel to the top of the unit. Place a 1¼-inch wood screw into each of the three holes and secure the dowel to the top of the unit.
