Things You'll Need
Instructions
Nail the two blocks of wood together in the shape of gun. Use at least two nails to keep the top piece from turning when you are holding the handle.
Line the handle with fabric or felt. Cut the fabric or felt just large enough to wrap around the handle with a 1/2-inch of overlap. Use fabric glue to glue into place.
Make a trench for the rubber band. On the end of the top piece of wood, carve a small trench all the way across the block of wood. The trench needs to be just wide enough that a rubber band can fit into it.
Sand the end of the top piece of wood, including the trench. Keep sanding until the surface feels smooth. Stray splinters can make holes in your rubber band and cause it to break.
Fire a rubber band. To work the rubber band launcher, hold onto the handle with one hand. Place one side of a rubber band into the trench on your launcher and pull back on the other side of the rubber band with your free hand. Get a good stretch to your rubber band and let go.
