Things You'll Need
Instructions
Draw a rectangle on the white fabric that is 7 inches tall and 9 inches wide by using the tape measure and fabric chalk. Erase one of the longer sides and redraw it bowing outward. Round all the corners. Cut this out using fabric sheers and use it as a template to make a duplicate.
Mark four circles on the white fabric, each 5 inches in diameter. Cut these shapes out using the shears.
Switch to the red fabric and mark half a circle that is 20 inches in diameter. For the bottom of the circle, draw rounded edges that curve towards each other sharply. Cut this out and use it as template to create a duplicate.
Lay one of the red shapes on a flat surface, half circle pointed away from you, and position one of the white rectangles so that it is halfway on top of it with the bowed side pointed away from you. Center the white rectangle horizontally. Attach the two pieces together by pushing sewing pins down through both layers and then back up through both layers. Repeat this process for the other red shape and white rectangle.
Sew the white rectangle onto the red shape using either a sewing machine or a needle and white thread. Use a straight stitch 1/8 inch away from the edge of the fabric and remove pins as you go. Repeat this for the other pair of shapes.
Attach one of the white circles to the center of one of the red mushroom caps using sewing pins. Once the shape is secured, sew the two together using white thread and a straight stitch 1/18 inch from the edge of the circle. Repeat this process for the other mushroom cap.
Lay one side of the pillow on a flat surface, face up, and position the other side of the pillow on top of it, face down. Attach the two pieces of fabric together using sewing pins.
Sew the two halves of the pillow together. Use a straight stitch 1/2 inch away from the edge of the fabric. Use red thread for sewing together the red portions of the pillow and switch to white thread for the white portions. Leave the bottom of the white rectangles unsewn.
Turn the pillow inside out by pushing the fabric out through the hole in the bottom of the pillow.
Center one of the white circles over the seam between the two halves of the pillow. Use sewing pins to attach the circle to the top layer of red fabric. Sew the circle onto this layer of fabric using a needle and white thread. Use a straight stitch 1/8 inch from the edge of the white circle. Repeat this process for the other side of the pillow.
Turn the pillow back inside out and sew the bottom of the rectangles together. Leave 4 inches unsewn and flip it inside out again.
Stuff the pillow by pushing cotton batting through the hole in the bottom of the pillow. Once it is filled to the desired firmness, sew the hole shut.
Draw two black eyes onto the white rectangle on one side of the pillow using the black permanent fabric marker.
