What Do You Do With the Treasure Chests in Jolly's in Banjo-Tooie?

̶0;Banjo-Tooie̶1; is an action-adventure platform game published by Rare and Nintendo in 2000 for the Nintendo 64 console game system. This sequel to ̶0;Banjo-Kazooie̶1; revives the original antagonist, Gruntilda, and requires you to challenge her to a trivia game in her fortress. Along the way, you encounter a range of different landscapes and areas, including Jolly Roger's Lagoon, where you find a treasure chest that contains an item that lets you play only one character at a time.
  1. Jolly Roger's

    • Jolly Roger's Lagoon is ̶0;Banjo-Tooie's̶1; fourth level. This seaside town claims to be a well-known tourist resort and overlooks a deep lagoon. The town is run by Jolly Roger, a flamboyant frog character. The town includes an inn, a store, a gift shop, Turtle View Cave and Pawno's Emporium, a pawn shop run by Pawno, a weasel-like rodent. With the assistance of Mumbo Jumbo, a skull-faced shaman, you can also access an underwater area near Jolly Roger's called Atlantis.

    Jolly's

    • This tavern and inn is also owned by Jolly Roger. It is dark, with stone walls, wooden furniture, and several rooms. The main room contains Jolly Roger and Merry Maggie the toad. The rental room lets you learn to fire eggs underwater. The western room contains Captain Blackeye, a drunken human pirate captain. The warehouse is accessible only by shooting a hole in the wall with a Clockwork Kazooie Egg or Grenade Egg and contains a passage to the Smuggler's Cavern. Jolly's also contains a broken jukebox, which you can fix using Cheato Pages.

    Treasure Chest

    • The town center outside Jolly's contains a large stone treasure chest on a dais. This chest is a town landmark and has a large crack in the back. Using a Grenade Egg on the chest destroys it, revealing a Split Up Pad. This pad allows you to split your characters up, so that you can play only Banjo or only Kazooie.

    Other Treasure

    • Jolly's and the Smuggler's Cavern also contain other treasures, though no other chests. These include two Nests Eggs in the western room of Jolly's, above the barrels, two Feather Nests in the wardrobe of the rental room, and another Feather Nest in the warehouse. The Cavern contains a Jiggy on top of the column in its center, and a Seemee fish containing a second Jiggy, an Extra Honeycomb Piece, a nest, or a Cheato Page. You cannot interact with any other chests, barrels or boxes in Jolly's.
