Things You'll Need
Instructions
Completely disassemble your SNES, taking out the mainboard and setting it aside, preferably in an anti-static bag. Wash the SNES case thoroughly, then sand it down inside and out with medium-grit sandpaper.
Apply masking tape to any areas you don't want to get paint on, and spray a few light coats of primer on the case -- inside and out. Allow this to dry for a few hours, then spray your first coat onto the case, and let it dry for a few hours. Repeat with two more coats. Apply a few layers of clear coat on top of this, letting it dry between each application. In total, this process should take about 24 hours.
Buff the clear coat with sandpaper lightly, going from 800-grit up to 2000-grit, in increments of 200. Brush off any residue, then use rubbing compound to smooth out the scratches. Use spray polish with a soft cloth, to create a glossy finish.
