An Easy Way to Get the Megaton Hammer on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

As if three swords, a bow, a slingshot and a boomerang weren't enough weapons, Nintendo insists on offering players of "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" a hammer to choose from as well. Players can find the Megaton Hammer hidden in the far reaches of the Fire Temple atop Death Mountain. To get the Megaton Hammer the easy way, you will need to have already arrived at the temple and collected the Dungeon Map.

Instructions

  Consult your map and head toward the large, doughnut-shaped room.

  Head up one flight of stairs. You should see a large treasure chest surrounded by flames near the narrow flight of stairs above you.

  Step on the switch that you see and run toward the narrow flight of stairs. Grab the edge of the top stair and pull yourself up; this is much faster than running up the stairs.

  Run to the chest and open it to receive the Megaton Hammer.
