How Do You Win in David and Goliath on King of Kings for the NES

"King of Kings" is the sequel to the original "Bible Adventures" by Wisdom Tree, an unlicensed video game produced for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The original version of "Bible Adventures" included a mini-game called David and Goliath. The game's mechanics mimic "Super Mario Bros 2" as David picks up objects, such as sheep, and holds them over his head. David and Goliath features five levels, four of which center on herding sheep. The last level starts with David navigating mountains and ends with the fight against Goliath.

Instructions

- 1
  Run along the ground, avoiding acorns thrown by the squirrels.

  Pick up sheep along the way, stacking them to four, while jumping over monsters such as lions and bears.

  Watch for the flashing arrow, then jump up to the corral area to deliver the sheep. Repeat for the next three levels.

  Proceed to the fifth and final level. Climb the mountains by jumping from smaller sections to large ledges. Jump over scorpions to avoid them, and use your slingshot to kill Philistine soldiers.

  Continue going up, dodging falling rocks, until you see Goliath's shield bearer. Wait on the small island just beneath him. When he moves toward you, jump behind him on the ledge and then slingshot him until he falls off the cliff.

  Jump up a few more levels to meet Goliath. Aim the slingshot for his forehead. Keep jumping and shooting, while avoiding contact with Goliath. When you hit him exactly between the eyes, Goliath falls and you win the game.
