How Do You Beat & Defeat Morpha in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Game?

After successfully navigating the Water Temple in the video game "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time," you'll have to face off against Morpha, the Giant Aquatic Amoeba. Morpha offers an unusual climax for one of the game's most painstaking dungeons. Once you've made it to the boss chamber, Morpha emerges from the water in the form of a liquid tentacle, giving little indication of a battle strategy. To defeat this beast, you'll need to utilize the longshot, your newest piece of equipment.

Instructions

- 1
  Jump off the central platform after the opening cut scene. Move toward a corner of the room. Avoid the spikes and listen for the sound of water. When you hear movement, run to another corner.

  Turn toward Morpha and locate the pink ball within the tentacle, which is the nucleus. Target the nucleus and shoot it with your longshot.

  Pull the nucleus into attack range. Hit it with your sword to cause damage, and it will return to the water. Watch out for Morpha's other tentacles emerging from the water -- these tentacles will grab Link and deplete his life. Run out of range to avoid them. Continue the process of hooking the nucleus with your longshot when it appears. After some additional damage, Morpha will be defeated.
