How to Fix the Gerudo Bridge in Zelda: Ocarina of Time

In the Nintendo 64 role-playing game adventure classic, "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time," there are many impediments throughout the world map that can slow or prevent Link's progress through the game. Many of these obstacles, such as the unfinished bridge in Gerudo Valley, can be addressed by completing various side quests. In the case of the bridge, you must look to the residents of the valley for aid.

Instructions

    • 1

Enter the fortress in Gerudo Valley and approach the first guard. When you get close enough, he will imprison you in a jail cell.

    • 2

Shoot your hookshot through the opening in the top of your cell, then go back outside and enter the leftmost door.

    • 3

Walk down the hall until you get to the first imprisoned carpenter. Press "A" to talk to him, then defeat the guard that approaches. Pick up the key the guard drops and use one in the carpenter's jail cell to free him.

    • 4

Go outside and enter the door on the left and attack any guards you encounter. Walk across the room and walk up the ramp on the other side.

    • 5

Turn right outside, then jump down to the level below. Take out the guard, then go around the corner to the next cell. Take out the guard, then free the second carpenter.

    • 6

Jump down to the level below and climb the vines up to the next door. Dispose of the guard and use his key to free the next carpenter from the nearby cell.

    • 7

Go down the large hall and dispose of the remaining guards. When you kill the last one, you'll get a Gerudo membership card. And, now that the carpenters are free, they will repair the bridge for you.
