How to Find the Rumble in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Though they can be easy to miss, the "secret grottoes" of "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" are underground caves that often hold valuable treasures or opportunities to gain easy wealth. If you don't bomb the ground diligently or pick up on clues suggesting grotto locations, the Stone of Agony will help immensely by vibrating your controller whenever you come close to one.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert a Rumble Pak, a vibrating controller attachment, into your Nintendo 64 controller. Insert your memory pack into the Rumble Pak so that you can access your saved game.

    • 2

Load your saved game and pause it, then navigate to the menu that tells how many golden skulltula tokens you have collected. If you don't have at least 20, walk around dungeons and outdoor areas at night and listen for their telltale rattling noise, then slash them with your sword and take the tokens that they drop.

    • 3

Enter the Skulltula House and speak with the child nearest the door on the right side. For collecting the 20th token and transforming him back into his human form (from that of a skulltula), he awards the Stone of Agony.

    • 4

Approach a secret grotto to cause your rumble feature to activate. Drop bombs in the vicinity to open a hole in the grotto that it detects.
